Welcome to The Pantiles e-newsletter
The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells will host string-driven swing band, String Theory, and junk percussion duo, Bang On! this summer who will be filling The Pantiles' walkways with fresh sounds. On Saturday 2nd May, String Theory will serenade shoppers with swing style jazz tunes from the twentieth century along with modern day jazz tunes. The group consists of three members playing two acoustic guitars and a double bass. String theory will be ‘busking' around The Pantiles performing three one hour sets between 11am and 4pm. The group will perform outside the Tourist Information Centre, The Hogging and other areas around The Pantiles. Bang On! will perform funky beats at The Pantiles on Saturday 6th June. The group uses a homemade drum kit made from recycled objects and has amazed audiences worldwide with its banging sounds. The duo will perform four 20 minute slots throughout the day at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. "It's always great to have live music down at The Pantiles and this is certainly something that we are looking forward to," said Andrew Gower, The Pantiles' centre manager. "Shoppers will get to experience a more unusual type of music which is sure to please."
